About Us...
Darrel and Lucy Wheeler bought Merlin Farm in 2003, after previously being hoteliers for many years in the Newquay area and have renovated existing farm buildings into award winning holiday cottages. It has been a labour of love and the farm has evolved in many ways. Darrel is a classic car enthusiast and collector (be warned if you start a conversation on this subject you may find it hard to escape!). Lucy has an interest in interior design and much of the soft furnishings have been made by Lucy herself.
Darrel and Lucy's years of experience in the hospitality industry ensures you have everything you need at your fingertips to get the most from your holiday. "Our love of Cornwall and time spent exploring has meant that we can share with our guests some of our favourite things to do, this is contained within our guest information provided for guests. In fact we are still exploring and finding new experiences to share, just how many cream teas can we research on your behalf?!"
Even though Darrel and Lucy live onsite, they respect guest's privacy and do not impose in any way. They are there should you need them (simply just a text away).
Merlin Farm is not a holiday park with lots of onsite facilities but instead a small secluded complex of just 4 holiday cottages surrounded in Countryside. You get a sense of 'being away from it all', so even in the height of Summer you can experience the tranquillity and relaxation that can be enjoyed at Merlin Farm all year round.
