Merlin Farm Terms and Conditions
ALL ONLINE BOOKINGS ARE PROVISIONAL UNTIL CONFIRMED BY MERLIN FARM.
Deposit: We can not confirm a booking until a deposit has been received. A 25% non refundable deposit is required upon booking (or the full amount if the booking is within 6 weeks of arrival). If a reservation cannot be accepted (at our discretion) the deposit will be refunded to you.
Balance: This is due 6 weeks prior to arrival along with the damages deposit (see below). If the balance is not recieved following reminders it will be regarded as a cancellation and your booking cancelled forfeiting the deposit.
Linen: Bed linen and 1 bath & hand towel are provided per guest. Bath mats and tea towels are also provided. Please bring your own beach towels and cot bedding, only a bottom cot sheet is provided. Damaged or stained bed linen or towels must be paid for.
Damages Deposit: We charge a housekeeping deposit per booking which is fully refundable following your departure after inspection of the property. Although we do a ‘final clean’ after your departure, we expect the accommodation to be left in a reasonably clean state and tidy as it was found on arrival. If any excessive cleaning needs to be carried out following your departure, we will use your housekeeping deposit to recover any costs incurred. We would appreciate being told before your departure if there are any breakages, failure to do so may result in us recovering costs from your housekeeping deposit. If any disruption/noise has been caused by your party that have upset other guests the housekeeping deposit will be used as compensation to them. This deposit is to be paid with the balance 6 wks prior to arrival.
Cancellations: The deposit is non-refundable, so we highly recommend arranging holiday insurance as you would for overseas travel to protect you in the event of unforeseen cancellation. If your holiday is more than six weeks away, we’ll gladly help you reschedule your stay and transfer your deposit to an alternative holiday date. Should you need to cancel within six weeks of arrival, a refund of the remaining balance can only be made if we are able to re-let the accommodation, as you remain responsible for the full cost of the booking. If we do successfully re-let the stay, you will receive a refund minus the non-refundable deposit, which may instead be transferred to a future booking if you prefer. Please inform us as soon as possible if you need to cancel, by writing to us or emailing and quoting your booking number.
Occupants: Only persons named are to stay, we must be given notice of any changes or further persons, providing there is bed space, before arrival and billed accordingly.
Group/Stag/Hen bookings: As we are a quiet site we do not encourage nor accept large group/stag/hen parties, however please contact us if your group are looking for a more quiet stay and we will do our best to accommodate you if appropriate. Please email us with details of your party prior to making a booking online. Failure to do so may lead to your booking being rejected.
Equipment breakdown: In the event of equipment breakdown, we (the owners) cannot be held responsible although we will make every effort to make repairs or rectify the situation as soon as possible. I.e. In the event of a washing machine/dishwasher failure it may take a matter of days (as it would if it were in your own home) to get an engineer out.
Dogs: We regret that we do not accept dogs during the Summer Holidays.
We are very sorry for any disappointment this may cause.
Please ensure you have read and accepted ALL our terms and conditions regarding dogs on our Dogs page. Do not ever leave dogs alone in our accommodation (not even in a crate). Do not allow your dog to climb on our sofa's, beds or rugs - please brings dogs own blankets and rugs to lie on. Always keep dog's on the lead whilst at Merlin Farm in respect of other guests and due to free roaming poultry, this includes the communal lawned areas/childrens play area. Any damage caused by your pet, no matter how big or small must be paid for by you the guest. All dog mess must be picked up and disposed of. No dogs under 12 months old unless by prior arrangement.
Other: Refunds cannot be made for any nights missed due to late arrivals/early departures.
We cannot accept any liability for any of the following; Injuries or loss of life of anyone in the party, loss or damage to any property brought on to the premises or loss or damage caused by any vehicles on the premises.
Holiday Insurance: We strongly advise that you obtain holiday insurance to cover the cost of your stay in the event of an unforeseeable cancellation, although it is not obligatory.
