‘Nature makes children happier’ according to a recent scientific report. Merlin Farm’s unique secluded location offers the perfect holiday environment for Children, immersed in nature and surrounded by wildlife. A short woodland walk links up with the footpath and takes you to the sandy beach of Mawgan Porth (approx 15-20 minutes). Our peaceful location means it is a haven for wildlife, which live and successfully breed here every year, including barn owls and deer. Our Cottages are equipped with baby gear (see details on cottage pages).
If you fancy an evening out with the kids we recommend using www.sitters.co.uk for reliable, professional, checked babysitters.
Parents can indulge in Spa Treatments in the comfort of your cottage, or escape to a Day Spa in the village. If you don't fancy cooking you can enjoy food in one of the many restaurants nearby, some within walking distance.

"We had an absolutely wonderful week at Merlin Farm. The cottages are stylish and cosy, with beautiful views and the kitchen has everything we could ever need (inc for kids). Lots of trips to the beach in Mawgan Porth, lunches at the Merrymoor Inn, a speed boat trip at Padstow, coffees and fresh pizzas from Cornish Fresh in Mawgan Porth and glasses of wine in the cottage garden. We will be back. Only downside is by writing this review there is a risk our hidden gem will be fully booked for the next decade and we won’t be able to get in! 😉."
