Nearby, you’ll find plenty welcoming pubs - some within walking distance, serving hearty food and drinks, many with roaring fires to warm you after a bracing Winter walk.

TOP TIPS
From the doorstep walk to St Mawgan Village where you will find St Mawgan Post Office Tearoom, Hawkeys Cafe, The Falcon Inn - a 16th Century Pub (check seasonal opening hours) and The Japanese Garden (closes 15 Nov). From St Mawgan head into Carnanton Woods and walk alongside the River Menalhyl (photo below).
Afternoon Tea at The Scarlet overlooking Mawgan Porth Beach is always a treat (to be booked in advance).
